The athletic director is considered an extra duty position in the district. This person oversees all aspects of the athletic programs for Dupree.

Compensation: Salary is $5,000.
The primary responsibility of an athletic director is to oversee all aspects of the athletic programs from Dupree.
Knowledge of sports. Experience as a high school/junior high coach preferred.
Creating schedules for all sports
Hiring officials for all sports
Hiring auxiliary personnel for sports events – clock, announcer, etc.
Attending all home events, and a few away games/matches
Ensuring the court or field is ready for the game/match
Working with coaches/office personnel/cooks to coordinate travel for away games
Overseeing coaches with equipment and uniform inventory/needs
Staying updated on policies/rules from the SDHSAA and the Conference AD’s and coaches
Maintaining good working relationships with area and conferences coaches and SDHSAA staff
Preparing budget for new/replacement equipment/uniforms
Coordinating practice schedules/times with coaches
Coordinating other uses for gyms from outside groups/teams
Completing any required reports
Mediating disputes between athletes and coaches (per Activities Handbook)
Coordinating required coach training
Coordinating and scheduling parent/athlete fall sports meeting
Supervising and evaluating all coaches
Promoting Tiger Athletics
Participating in hiring of coaches
Other duties as assigned
Must have excellent “soft skills”
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills
Must have excellent conflict resolution skills
Need proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, data entry, email and internet
Must keep student information confidential
Must establish good rapport with students, parents, coaches, school board and administration
Must be able to work under pressure
JH Volleyball Coach
JH Volleyball Coach
JH Volleyball Coach needed. Practices usually begin in August and season runs through October.
Applicants must have prior volleyball experience and will be required to take training/certification for drug screening of athletes. Will need to take required training and courses as required by SDHSAA and National Federation. Will work with varsity/JV coaches for program consistency. Must be in attendance at all practices and games.
