Special Education teacher needed for school year 2022-23 The desired candidate will have the proper certification for K-12 Special Education. Depending on the candidate, this position will be either secondary or elementary only. This is not a K-12 position. This position is with or without coaching.

Compensation: Compensation: Salary and benefits as negotiated. Current base salary is $46,175. Salary depends on education and experience. Signing bonus of $1,500 provided.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to write and implement IEP’s and conduct IEP meetings.
- Be familiar with basics of SpEd law/IDEA.
- Able to work collaboratively in teams, including students, parents, SpEd Coordinator, Therapists, Psychologist, Principals in each child’s best interest
- Plan instructional tasks that are meaningful and related to learning goals
- Provide instruction to students
- Implement District curriculum and maintain a strong instructional focus utilizing the elements of effective teaching
- Communicate high levels of expectation and clear learning goals to students
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of all students while addressing various learning styles
- Display enjoyment, humor, and enthusiasm for teaching and expect students to enjoy learning
- Maintain an effective, positive classroom environment for learning
- Be well-organized
- Maximize student learning time, including effective transitions
- Participate in professional growth opportunities and demonstrate professionalism
- Communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues, parents and students
- Complete routine assigned tasks and comply with District/administrative requirements
- Conduct parent-teachers conferences in accordance with District policy
- Follow District and building policies and procedures
- Support the District goals
- Report student progress to parents and students regularly
- Demonstrated skills in the use of technology to enhance student learning
- Perform other duties as assigned
